There are many skills that people think they need when starting an affiliate marketing business. But, there are two particular skills that most people overlook, yet, will have a huge impact on whether or not you will succeed in affiliate marketing.

Those two skills are focus and taking action.

Focus As affiliate marketers we are constantly being bombarded with the "latest and greatest" offers and products. These also happen to be promoted by some of the best marketers on the world so it becomes increasingly hard to resist.

But, with affiliate marketing, you almost never need any of this new stuff. You just need a plan and then stick with it with focus and intensity. Reading about all the latest money making opportunities will only distract you from your one and only purpose - getting a visitor to click on you affiliate link and then buying from the merchant. Doing anything that does not help with that one specific goal is simply "busy work" and will reduce the amount of money you could be making.

Taking Action The second skill often overlooked is taking action. But, not just any action, but, only those actions that will increase your affiliate income. Action for its own sake is simply a sign of procrastination.

However, taking massive action that leads to specific outcomes that you have selected is a required skill for any online marketer.

Learning and using these two skills will put you far ahead of your competitors and allow you to achieve your affiliate marketing goals.
