Lots of people spend so much money hiring consultants to market their websites online for them, but we all seem to think it must be a discipline similar to 'ASTROPHYSICS'. Internet Marketing, I have come to learn the hard and tortuous way, is simply 'the little things that a person does on the internet that will aid in directing or diverting traffic to a particular destination or website!' SIMPLE or is it?

What I have come to realise also is that, I can get into internet marketing and really not have to run around looking for clients or business, because all my potential CLIENTS or CUSTOMERS are right in front of my eyes on my computer screen, on the internet! The internet as we continually fail to realise contains the one biggest assemble of producers, suppliers, consumers...etc you name it. The complete supply chain for a lot of businesses worldwide is accomplished on the internet. We still find it hard to acknowledge this fact.

Many people work on the internet without investing a single penny but manage to rake in lots of money because they are just middle men. Yes, middlemen, and why not? More and more firms do not want to bother with researching into new markets in all corners of the world. They prefer others to do same, and they will only supply to meet demands! Loads of firms are tired of using or committing resources to advertising and launching campaigns for their products. They would rather prefer someone else to do it on their behalf for a small fee! Others now hate to even spread the word about their products because they feel it takes too much of their time and money. They prefer individuals who have lower overheads, and who can spread it my word of mouth or by the INTERNET, to do so on their behalf FOR A SMALL FEE!

Do you get the drift? Sometimes I knock myself on the head and ask myself why I did not think it could work before? Direct a customer to a website to buy a product and I get a commission! Simple as that! I do not spend a dime? Hold on, there must be a catch somewhere (the mind of a pessimist), who would allow that? We forget that it happens in the physical realm. Salesmen travel far and wide to sell insurance and consumer items and their remuneration is in the form of a commission. So it makes absolute sense that it should be possible to do the same on the internet.

Well the good news is that its happening. The internet marketing business comes in various forms and there is sufficient for everyone to make some money out of it. In the market place every supply must meet a demand if it can find it. What a marketer does, is to help supply and demand come together to shake hands! These programs use the marketing strategies that most big firms incorporate into their online marketing plans to source buyers for their products.
