How to Become an Affiliate Master and Make the Big Bucks

If you want to sell products online, you can either get a storage house and keep your own inventory, or just sell someone else's products. Which one sounds easier to you?

Affiliate programs are a very controversial subject to business owners. On one hand, an affiliate program can create a sales force without any effort for just about any business, but on the other hand, the business owner does lose a little profit from the affiliate's commission.

The fact of the matter is an affiliate program is great for both the affiliate and the business owner; just too many businesses fail to see the potential. Becoming an affiliate master will not only make you rich, but it will also improve the businesses that you promote.

First of all, to become an affiliate master, there are many things that you need to know and basically master. Preselling is a major part of this since you don't already have a brand that sells itself. For example, people buy from Microsoft because of its brand, so Microsoft doesn't have to sell anything in writing, they just make the product and people will buy it.

But since you are just one person that doesn't have a brand, you need to presell your visitors with valuable information, so they come to trust and respect you. This way they will actually buy your affiliate products that you earn a commission from, and they will also come back to your site for more.

Another thing you have to master too become a successful affiliate marketer is the look and feel of your site. The look and feel is exactly that, how your site looks and how it feels to the visitor. To make your site look good, you first need to either learn how to use an HTML editor and build the site yourself, or use a simple step by step site building tool.

However you decide to build your web site and pages, you need to keep one important thing in mind about the look of your site, and that is to keep it clean and organized. Nothing turns your visitor off more then a poorly organized site that looks like an amateur made it. Make sure the colors blend together well and that your visitors can easily navigate through your entire site.

The best way to achieve both of these tasks is to have your logo on top and your navigation bar on the left. Since most people, besides the Chinese, read from left to right it will give them the ability to easy locate sections on your site that they want to look at and it will keep them staying on your site. It is a well known fact that if you make things hard to find, then your visitor will be more likely to hit that Back button on their browser and leave your site.

The final, but very major part, to becoming an affiliate master is choosing the right products to promote. Sometimes you will run into ten different companies that sell the exact same thing, at the same price, and you earn the same commission. What to do, what to do? Well if the product isn't too expensive then you should buy it from a few of the stores and rate your own experience with them. Also, be sure to carefully look at their website and make sure it is exactly what I talked about above, nice looking and an easy feel to it.

When you compare the stores affiliate percentage and bonuses, you will notice some are better then others. This is a fine line that you must balance, between what site will pay you the most and which sites look and feel the best. If you take the time to do this, your sales will increase and your visitors respect for you will also increase.
