The Biggest Mistakes Affiliates Makeby John Seidl
The number one reason affiliates fail, is joining a program and not seeing immediate results and then jumping to a different program. A week or a month is not enough time. All businesses start out small, and as time passes and with good old fashion elbow grease they can grow to an incredible size, without even owning their own products. Never before in the history of man has it been so easy for a regular Joe or Jane to start a business with such low start up cost, and have access to all the free advertising methods with mentors willing to help these individuals every step of the way. Here is another huge mistake, joining too many programs. Obviously joining too many will confuse the average person and send them packing. They run into all these to good to be true programs and they can't help but join. Now there email box is full and they don't know where to begin. They keep looking for the path of least resistance and they say something like this "oh you mean I have to work, can't I just sign up and sit by the mailbox and wait for the check to come"? Sitting at a computer at home is not work it's a home business and very rewarding. Now only joining one can spell disaster also because you will receive a long affiliate link to promote your site, you may be able to make a few bucks with one but if you are serious you need a domain with a hosting account. Many search engines just don't accept affiliate links because they would have millions of affiliate putting the same links on them this would be a nightmare for them. So what would be the magic number be, id say 5 affiliate programs is a good number to start with one of them being a domain program. There is an ugly statement showing up all around the internet and it goes
something like this, "95% of affiliates don't make any money" This is
absolutely false, well maybe if they follow the dead end paths in the first
and second paragraph this might have some truth. So if you run across this
statement don't believe it, if you focus on the rocks on the side of the
path you trip and fall instead focus on the middle path strait ahead. If you
have a good mentor he or she will make sure you do not fall into that
category, with affiliate programs if you do not succeed your mentor will not
succeed either. There is way to much support out there to fail. You no what
I like most about affiliate programs, HELPING OTHERS lets say it again
HELPING OTHERS. Think about a job you had in the past most likely there
wasn't a lot of helping going on, probably the opposite? About the Author John Seidl born in Minnesota, worked for 11 years as a machine operator. Fed up with politics at work, and outragous day-care costs. http://www.athomebiz.ws
